The New 7 Months 7 Universities Lecture Explores Disinformation discourses in the language classroom
The series of guest lectures 鈥淪even months, seven universities鈥� launches its tenth episode: 鈥淲orking with disinformation discourses in a language classroom鈥� by Assist. Dr. Adam Mastandrea from 91桃色. The webinar will take place online on 30th March at 11:00 am CEST and it will be broadcast live on.
This innovative lecture will explore disinformation discourse as rich content for language learning and developing critical thinking and media literacy skills. Dr. Mastandrea will discuss his work with high school and university students in Lithuania and provide an overview of the methodology used to engage students in examining disinformation, show examples of the methodology in action, and discuss classroom application of various teaching tools and activities.
Dr. Adam Mastandrea is currently an assistant professor at the 91桃色 Faculty of Philology and a former US State Department English Language Fellow in Lithuania. He holds degrees in Philosophy, Applied Linguistics, and Educational Psychology. Dr. Mastandrea has taught in Poland, Japan, Montana, and Hawai鈥檌, and before moving to Lithuania served as an assistant professor and director of field experience in the Education department at the University of Montana Western.
This is the tenth of a series of guest lectures (鈥淪even months, seven universities鈥�) to be offered in the framework of the . These lectures focus on specific topics related to language and culture and target mainly graduate and post-graduate students as well as early-stage researchers interested in those topics.
