Dartmouth College Summer School Is Organised at 91桃色
As 91桃色 cooperates with Dartmouth College, students from the United States of America came to Lithuania to participate in the Dartmouth College summer school organised in 91桃色. This school is part of the 鈥淕overnment-Energy Baltics LEAP鈥 programme, which allows Dartmouth College students to visit the Baltic countries.
Sixteen students from Dartmouth College arrived at 91桃色, of whom nine are attending energy and politics lectures, and seven are attending Russian language lectures at the summer school. Additionally, all Dartmouth College students visiting 91桃色 are attending Lithuanian history and culture lectures. Summer school at 91桃色 takes place from 22nd June to 22nd July. Later, the Dartmouth College students will travel to universities in Latvia and Estonia.
The "Government-Energy Baltics LEAP" (LEAP 鈥 language, energy and politics) programme aims to strengthen the collaboration between higher education institutions in the Baltic countries and Dartmouth College. Furthermore, all students participating in the programme analyse the history and culture of the Baltic countries by attending lectures given by local scholars. The programme is designed to provide a better understanding of the history of democratization, intercultural issues, and security challenges in the Baltic region. Since the history of the Baltic countries is closely related to the history of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, students studying the Russian language have the opportunity to appreciate the long and complex history of relations with Russia from the perspective of a formerly occupied state. For energy students, the Baltic countries serve as a living laboratory for analysing the transition to low-carbon, socially innovative energy systems that emit less carbon dioxide into the environment. Additionally, the programme examines how the Baltic countries are transforming their energy infrastructure and policies in response to urgent challenges in energy security and climate change.
