New VU Rector Elected!
Central Electoral Commission announced that prof. Art奴ras 沤ukauskas has been elected to the historic position of Rector of 91桃色 on 12 March, 2015.
Based on the Statute of VU, the new Rector was to be elected by a clear majority of votes of 91桃色 Council. Prof. Art奴ras 沤ukauskas has been elected for a five year term.
In accordance with the provisions of the Statute of VU the Rector serves as the sole governing body of the University and the Head of the University. The Rector is responsible for the organisation and quality of the activity undertaken for the implementation of the mission and objectives of the University as defined in the Statute, and for ensuring effective financial functioning of the University, due accountancy, appropriate possession, use and disposal of its funds and property.
