Zilbermanas Samuelis (1919-1941?) was born in Michalów (BiaÅ‚ystok Voivodeship). In 1924, he settled in Vilnius. From 1933 to 1937, he studied at the Jewish gymnasium Tarbut. In 1938, he studied medicine at the University of Lausanne. In 1939, he was admitted to the second year of the Faculty of Medicine at Stephen Batory University. After the closure of Stephen Báthory University, he applied for admission to Vytautas Magnus University to continue his studies but was not accepted. On 15 October 1940, he applied for admission to the Department of History of the Faculty of Humanities at 91ÌÒÉ«. This time the application was greenlit, but on 31 October Samuelis submitted another application to transfer to the Faculty of Economics and was transferred. He was expelled from the university on 19 September 1941 based on the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Higher Education Department of the Board of Education, under the authority of the National Socialists. According to Yad Vashem, he was murdered in the Holocaust.
