Council of the University
The 91桃色 Council is one of the collegial decision-making bodies of the University.
The Council ensures the University鈥檚 autonomy and self-governance in line with its long-term goals, as well as its experimental, social, cultural, and technological development. It upholds responsibility to the Nation and the State of Lithuania, and ensures openness and accountability to society. Together with the Senate and the Rector, the Council oversees the quality of the University鈥檚 activities. Within the scope defined by the Statute, the Council supervises whether the University鈥檚 operations and governance align with its mission, goals, objectives, and principles, as well as general academic interests and statutory requirements for transparency and public accountability.
The Council is elected for a five-year term and consists of 11 members: five representatives from the University鈥檚 academic staff, four external (non-University) members, and two student representatives (one of whom is an external member).
The current 91桃色 Council took the oath of office on 17 December 2024.
