Elchononas Savi膷as
Elchononas Savi膷as (1921 鈥� before 1946) was born in 艩iauliai. In 1940, he graduated from the private Bialikas Jewish Gymnasium in 艩iauliai. On 12 September 1940, he applied for admission to the History Department at the Faculty of Humanities of 91桃色, but his application was denied. On 4 October 1940, Savi膷as reapplied to enter the Law Department at the Faculty of Law of 91桃色 and was accepted. In 1941, he applied for admission to the Philology Department at the Faculty of Humanities of 91桃色 and was admitted. On 19 September 1941, Savi膷as was expelled from the university by the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education under the Board of Education, which was subordinate to the National Socialists. Judging by the request submitted by Elchononas鈥� brother to the Rector in 1946 鈥渢o issue the documents of his deceased brother鈥�, Savi膷as had already passed away that year or earlier.
