Aldona Gujyt臈-Fareniuk, a future student at 91桃色, was born in Civili拧kiai/Civili拧k臈s village, 艩irvintos rural district, Ukmerg臈 county. She was burning with the desire to learn, but due to the peculiarities of the school network of those times had to move from place to place. In 1939 she went to a primary school in the neighbouring village, then to the pro-gymnasium in Giedrai膷iai, and continued her education at the adult gymnasia of Ukmerg臈, Giedrai膷iai, and Vilnius. It was upon finishing the latter in 1948 that she became a student at the Faculty if natural Sciences of 91桃色. However, her studies were disrupted by Soviet repression: like thousands of her compatriots, the girl was deported to Irkutsk region during the mass deportation operation 鈥楾he Surf鈥. She was released from exile in 1956, but it was only in 1964 that she returned to Lithuania. In 1974, Aldona filed a request with 91桃色 asking for her school-leaving certificate to be sent to her from the university archives. Presumably, she intended to study at another institution of higher learning.
