Anastazija Konoverskyt臈 was born on 5 January 1925 in 沤virg啪d啪i奴nai village, Klovainiai rural district, 艩iauliai county. In 1938, she started school in Linkuva gymnasium and finished it in 1944, when the school was celebrating its 20th anniversary. In the same year Anastazija applied to study the Lithuanian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities of 91桃色. Her application was granted and she was a university student until the fourth semester of the second year of studies. In 1946, she was arrested and sentenced to death by shooting for taking part in the attempt of Antanas 艩ileika, an NKGB officer who warned many people about pending deportation, on the life of his senior. Soviet war tribunal commuted the death sentence by shooting pronounced in Vilnius to twenty years of hard labour. Anastazija was imprisoned in Norilsk, Mordovia. She did not serve full sentence and returned to Lithuania in 1956. Soon after, the rector鈥檚 office of 91桃色 received an application (signed 26 January 1957) asking for the documents of her interrupted studies to be sent to the former student, but it was not fulfilled: the documents verifying studies of Anastazija Konoverskyt臈 at 91桃色 were not in her personal file. They are not there today. However, student card No 4346 issued to Anastazija Konoverskyt臈, a student of the Faculty of History and Philology, was found among KGB-related documents in the Lithuanian Special Archives. Upon her return from exile, Anastazija settled in Panev臈啪ys where she finished a course in accountancy and worked in this field. Yet literature has always been important to her: Anastazija Konoverskyt臈-Su膷ylien臈 has published a book of memoirs and a volume of poetry.
