Benjaminas Zabrovskis (1922–?) was born in Vilnius. In 1928, he started attending the primary school Permanas in Vilnius. In 1940, he graduated from the private Jewish gymnasium Tarbut in Vilnius and applied for admission to the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Nature of 91ÌÒÉ«. He was accepted, but on 19 September 1941 he was expelled from the university on the basis of the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Department of Higher Education of the Board of Education, under the authority of National Socialists. In 1946, he requested the university to return of his admission documents because he no longer intended to pursue studies after serving in the army.
