Samuelis Bakulinas (1920鈥?) was born in 艁贸d藕, Poland. In 1927, he began attending the Jewish I Gymnasium in 艁贸d藕. In 1930, his father died, and his family was left without income. Samuelis had to drop out from school and was home-schooled until 1934. In 1934, he and his mother moved to Vilnius (where the mother originally came from) and enrolled in the secondary school of O艣wiata (Enlightenment) association. He graduated in 1938. Samuelis was very zealous in passing all the subjects 鈥渧ery well鈥, and during his entire studies he was still earning money by giving private lessons and supporting himself and his mother, who was unable to work due to her poor health and age. In 1939, he entered the Faculty of Medicine at Stephen B谩thory University. In 1940, after the change of the system, he submitted a new application to continue studies starting from the second year at the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Mathematics and Nature of 91桃色. Unfortunately, on 19 September 1941, he was expelled from the university on the basis of the Order of 17 September 1941 of the Higher Education Department of the Board of Education, under the authority of the National Socialists. No information on the further fate of Samuelis Bakulinas is known.
