Sustainability Aspects in Agriculture and Assessment of Financial Risks of Family Farms in Lithuania. Prof. Dr .D. 艩treimikien臈. 2013鈥2017.

Sustainability issues in agriculture sector were analysed and methodology for integrated assessment of financial risks of family farms was developed.  The methodology is based on the benefit of the doubt model. The research relies on the farm-level data from Farm Accountancy Data Network and covers the period of 2004鈥2011. Multiple financial indicators are included in the model to encompass such features as returns, capital structure, cost of capital, and cash flows.

The Impact of EU Structural Funds on Green Growth and Sustainable Energy Development. Prof. Dr. D. 艩treimikien臈, Assoc. Prof. A. Mikalauskien臈. 2013鈥2017.
The role of financing from EU Structural Funds (2007鈥2013) was analysed for enhancement of green growth in the Baltics and Czech Republic and Slovakia. The performed comparative assessment revealed that Czech Republic allocated the highest share of means from EU Structural Funds to enhance green growth. In terms of development of green growth indicators, this country is also among the best performing countries following Estonia.

Research of Corporate Finance in Central and Eastern Europe. Prof. Dr. R. Kanapickien臈, PhD Student R. 艩picas. 2013鈥2017.

The bankruptcy prediction models were analysed. A logistic regression model was developed on the basis of financial ratios in Lithuanian construction, transport and storage companies. Logistic regression model employs the financial ratios which statistically significantly differ in the financial statements of bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy companies.

The research carried out under this project explores the reflection of the myth theme and its motifs in the poetic narrative, deciphering mythic formulas as embedded in the context of the poetic narrative, the metamorphosis of myth into poetry and film, dramatic complexity of novels and plays.

The main scientific focus was placed on the audiovisual translation, its types, aspects and arising problems. Great emphasis was placed on censorship in translation and the meaning loss on the basis of Grice鈥檚 conversational maxims, on the interplay of modes and sub-modes for representation of characters in cartoons, on the efficiency of the subtitling software.

The model for efficient long-term health care by using prudent monitoring concept was proposed. This implies designing cost containment structure, evaluation metrics and budget constraints of specific areas of health care. In order to achieve sustainability of health care and reliable long term forecasting, the researchers propose risk evaluation of relevant conditions and scenarios. The main objective of the research for High Frequency Trading is to check two different statistical arbitrage strategies using nanosecond data of five different future contracts from NYMEX.

Knowledge-based UML dynamic models generation method usage in IS lifecycle design stage research was performed as well as information systems engineering and knowledge-based enterprise modelling towards foundations of theory investigation activities were completed. The paradigm of model driven information systems development that includes business management semantical aspects was proposed during the research period of 2016.

Several algorithms of deep neural networks for speaker classification and Lithuanian dialogues recognition were investigated. The efficiency of the proposed and investigated methods has been compared with the HMM based algorithms. It has been shown that in good recording conditions and silent environments all methods achieve very similar performance. But in the noisy environments DNN based methods achieve higher recogntion accuracy (about 3% in average).

The purpose of this project is to demonstrate the relevance of Value Added Chain definition in the evaluation process of contemporary organizations and to present the concept of value added chain of small and medium enterprise evaluation model based on principles of control theory.

Types are pervasive in programming and information technology. Type systems have rapidly evolved over the past years, becoming more sophisticated, capturing new aspects of the behaviour of programs and the dynamics of their execution.

Scientific attempts were made at constructing the identity and the variability of the Lithuanian language at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, linguistic and extra linguistic characteristics of the written and spoken texts and other communication systems by applying the analytical principles from the fields of sociolinguistics, perceptual dialectology, geolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, stylistics, rhetoric and semantics.

Working group is in charge of assembling a list of existing corpora in the various languages, checking copyright issues, and developing a systematic description of each in the form of standardised metadata (to support interoperable search and facilitate comparisons between languages, genres and modes). The web portal administered by the Action will collect the information on those corpora, and assign appropriate meta-data, i.e. giving information on the language data contained in the corpus at stake.

The main development and research objectives of this project were as follows: to formulate the methodology and empirical research means for geolinguistic competence research according to the methodological platform of perceptual dialectology; to conduct geolinguistic competence research.  Analysis of a geolinguistic competence and language attitude was carried out. In this project the role of cultural centres in the Lithuanian society, characteristics of artistic activities of these organizations were explored and art therapy was analysed. Art therapy is described as a form of psychotherapy during which a client supervised by an art therapist creates products of art, which helps him/her to improve/recreate functionality and orientation towards well-being.

The concepts of cultural and creative tourism, its resources, objectives, benefits and damage to the nature and the society were analysed. Creative tourism is different from cultural tourism in that it provides tourists with experiences through their direct participation in offered tourism activities. Another idiosyncratic feature is that creative tourism travel packs are created by not only tourism organisations, but also communities that have authentic tangible and intangible heritage.

Tendencies in corporate social responsibility reporting, drivers and obstacles of development of sustainable enterprises in the country have been analysed. Results of the tested relationship between ethical culture of organization and organizational innovativeness in Lithuanian organizations have been compared with the ones in Finland.
